When to Buy a Beginner Stunt Kite

Buy a Beginner Stunt Kite if you have never flown a stunt kite before. Beginner stunt kites need to be tough. New pilots will make mistakes...there is simply no way to avoid hard crashes or severely twisted lines while you’re learning.

As a beginner, don't invest all of your money on an expensive kite because you will most likely have to replace it sooner than later. Beginner kites are less expensive because they are made with heavier and cheaper materials. For example, fiberglass spars are used instead of tubular graphite because they usually better withstand the force of a crash. Heavier reinforcements at stress points may add to the overall weight of the kite, but not to beginner performance. Flying lines may be made of less expensive materials as well but, again, it’s unlikely the beginner kite flyer will notice.

Another thing to avoid as a beginner kite flyer is a small kite. Small kites are less expensive to make and therefore affordable for the customer, but they fly very fast, making learning how to fly a stunt kite frustrating.
